Acton Coffee House is committed to selling coffee and tea that are fairly traded and sustainably grown.
The Fair Trade certification of our coffee and tea guarantees that strict international, economic, social and environmental standards were met in the production and trade of these products.
Our coffee is roasted locally in Massachusetts by a roaster who follows fair trade principles in all his purchases. He carries organically grown beans and works hard on maintaining a personal relationship with the people who do business with his company.
The Fair Trade movement advocates that social responsibility be coupled with protecting the environment, as Fair Trade standards require protection of local ecosystems and ensure that farmers receive a harvest price that allows them to practice sustainable agriculture.
